Vaults/Pedestals

If you are building an underground network, you are going to need vaults or pedestals or both. These enclosures will be connection points for your conduit or ducts and will protect your splice closures.

If you have modern suburban neighborhoods, above ground pedestals might work since you would have room at the side of the road and curbs to ward off inattentive cars. Underground vaults might be more appropriate for areas with no curbs and potential for car wrecks.

Depending on the design of your network, you may need small buried "flower pots" between two houses that can accomodate a connection point.
